When selecting what size wrap to purchase it is important to consider what type of carry you would like to do, as well as what size you and your baby are. In general your base size is good for a Front Wrap Cross Carry as seen in our My Wrap section. Please read our instructions on how to do a basic carry and safety guidelines before you start wrapping. Our woven wraps are made from all natural fibres and, with few exceptions, are as easy to care for as your regular household laundry. Firstly, you must look over your woven before washing for the first time. We ask you to look for any weaving flaws that we may have missed along the way. If you are un-happy with your carrier then please contact us. Your woven wrap will arrive to you in what is called “loom state”. Therefore, it is very important that you wash and iron your ring sling before use. This sets the weave, removes any residue and will fluff up your wrap to make it soft and smooshy.
Wash your woven wrap first in one cold wash on a medium spin, and on gentle cycle for subsequent washing. We do not recommend the use of colour catchers with any textiles. Tumble dry on low. Ironing is strongly encouraged to prevent premature wear at the rails and other highly creased areas.
It is normal for your woven wrap to shrink in the first wash. We have taken into account shrinkage when we have cut and hemmed our wraps.
Natalie Size 6 wrap 7kg 6month old & 15kg 2.5 year old. Carries: Front wrap cross carry (FWCC) Double Hammock with a Cancycane Chest belt (DHCCCB) Ruck. We all know I am a lollie lover, but Clooney Oceans didn’t sing out to me at first. But as always, I cannot judge a wrap by its looks.
My first wear was a quick and sloppy double hammock with the Toddler. When placing the double layer over T, I noticed that Oceans has this lovely stretch to it, but with the stretch it also has recoil. It felt like the wrap was giving you a “hug back” feeling. The second pass glided over T, The pattern of Clooney Oceans provides subtle grip, there isn’t too much grip. It defiantly is more of a glidey wrap.
T ended up being up for half an hour, which for us is a while. I checked the wrap, before I let him down. Even though I had done a terrible wrap job, it still hadn’t budged too much, there was a bit of slack but that’s to be expected with terrible wrap jobs.
I wore Ru for an hour in a Front wrap cross carry. I was comfortable for the entire hour. The shoulder passes felt cushy and spongy. I took time in tightening the wrap and locked Ru in. After a little while I checked the wrap. As i suspected, It hadn’t budged. She was still locked in even though he had been thrashing about wanting to see everything I was doing.
I would recommend this to people with little babes and toddlers, although you will need double layers with bigger kids.
It reminded me of Lollie Freckle, although Oceans is a touch thicker.
Lesliey Clooney arrived in a stiff loom state but transformed into a floppy puppy dog after a wash and dry in the dryer. On first wrap it was easy to tighten, reasonably moldable for a heavier wrap and supportive for my 3 month old. Even with hours of wear, I never needed to retighten the wrap job and I was comfortable the entire time. I feel like Clooney would be solid in multiple layers for bigger kids but unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to get my toddler up. I loved the pops of microtexture throughout the wrap but overall it’s quiet flat and dense. It reminds me of a heavier in hand Lollie Spritz, with little cush but no dig.

A return of order will be accepted either:
- after a product has been shipped, and a cancellation of order was communicated by the consumer to Ankalia Textiles within the same day of purchase; or
- within fourteen (14) days of order when product is unused, undamaged, and in original purchase condition. “Original purchase condition” is defined as unwashed, unless otherwise stated as ‘Ready to wear’ at time of purchase.
