Our Ring Slings come in 2 sizes.
- Regular Size measuring approximately 2m from the rings and along the longest rail.
- Long Size measuring approximately 2.2m from the rings and along the longest rail.
Our ring slings are made from all natural fibres and, with few exceptions, are as easy to care for as your regular household laundry. Firstly, you must look over your ring sling before washing for the first time. We ask you to look for any weaving flaws that we may have missed along the way. If you are un-happy with your carrier then please contact us. Your ring sling will arrive to you in what is called “loom state”. Therefore, it is very important that you wash and iron your ring sling before use. This sets the weave, removes any residue and will fluff up your wrap to make it soft and smooshy.
Wash your ring sling first in one cold wash on a medium spin, and on gentle cycle for subsequent washing. We do not recommend the use of colour catchers with any textiles. Tumble dry on low. Ironing is strongly encouraged to prevent premature wear at the rails and other highly creased areas.
It is normal for your ring sling to shrink in the first wash. We have taken into account shrinkage when we have cut and hemmed our wraps. Ring Slings should be covered with a piece of cloth or sock. This not only protects the rings but also your washing machine.

Sandi is beautiful to wear. It is not quite like other woolies I have tried, it feels more like a tencel blend than a wool blend with a heavier feel in hand. The black in the design makes the red pop beautifully. Throughout the red part of the design are subtle pink threads that give beautiful dimension.
Sandi is a wonderful ring sling, it pulls nicely through the rings but has enough micro texture to hold once tight. The wool gives a lovely shoulder feel and results in a comfy carry. Sandi conforms nicely to babe’s body to feel snug and firm with little effort. We wore the ring sling on some hotter days and had no issues, wool is a year round fibre for us.
The wrap was used for FWCC, double hammock and ruck carries. As mentioned, it tightens easily but wrap jobs can sag a little with wear if any slack remains. Double layers worked best for longer wears but a ruck with my big kid was still quite comfortable. Therefore I’d say it would work well as a base size or shorty wrap.
If you like your woolies on the thinner side and like a high contrast floral design, you will love this wrap. If you enjoy a thicker, more densly textured wrap then you might want to sit this one out.

Delivery time ranges from 3-7 (three to seven) working days from the time of checkout, pending the shipping option selected. Remote locations not serviced by Ankalia Textiles’ primary shipping service may take up to 14 (fourteen) working days.
International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your shipping location and weight of the product(s). Express and Standard options for shipping are available for selection.
Delivery time ranges from 5-21 (five to twenty-one) business days after shipping, based on the address given.
International purchases may also be liable for any customs and import duty, quotas, permits, product restrictions and other local requirements. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel.
Ankalia Textiles is not liable for any custom or import duties and will not cover the cost of custom fees or import duties into any country.
A return of order will be accepted either:
- after a product has been shipped, and a cancellation of order was communicated by the consumer to Ankalia Textiles within the same day of purchase; or
- within fourteen (14) days of order when product is unused, undamaged, and in original purchase condition. “Original purchase condition” is defined as unwashed, unless otherwise stated as ‘Ready to wear’ at time of purchase.
